ZF Sachs Micro Mobility GmbH will be renamed ZF Micro Mobility GmbH on September 1, 2021.
After the 100% takeover by ZF Friedrichshafen AG in October 2020, this change should now also be clearly visible in the company name.
The aim is to express the closeness to and connection to ZF in the company name and brand identity and to position it in the market. The product name “Sachs” remains.
ZF Micro Mobility GmbH appeared for the first time at the Eurobike (September 1 to 4, 2021) in Friedrichshafen and presented an expanded product portfolio under the new name:
- New battery generation Sachs SI 725.01, with 725Wh energy
- Sachs Corecharger: A system-independent charger that can be integrated into the overall system
- Sachs Ride App: With the Sachs Ride App you get your e-bike experience on your smartphone, with the features navigation, dashboard and history.
- Sachs Dealer Service Portal: A central contact point for authorized dealers to find out about products and services.
For the two managing directors, Markus Gross and Marc Sommer, the name change is a step in the right direction: “Since the 100% takeover in 2020, we have been drawing on the expertise and know-how in the fields of mobility, engineering and the ZF value chain. So it was the next, consistent step to also convey this connection to the outside world in the company name. “
The management of ZF Micro Mobility GmbH will continue to consist of Markus Gross and Marc Sommer. The company is based in Ravensburg.
